I’m a mix of engineer and researcher, always curious and always learning. I began my academic journey at the University of Ottawa, where I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer science.
Over more than a decade in industry, I have moved from field service engineering to technical leadership roles, working across diverse sectors and solving real-world engineering challenges along the way.
After finishing my master’s under Prof. Claude D’Amours, I pursued a PhD in wireless security at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) as a civilian, supervised by Prof. Abdellah Chehri. The project was publicly funded through MITACS in collaboration with Thales Digital Identity and Security, and focused on deep learning for RF fingerprinting: teaching neural networks to recognize wireless devices by the physical “accent” of their radio signals.
Today, my research has moved from identifying devices to protecting what they communicate. I work as a postdoctoral researcher on a project on post-quantum cryptography for satellite networks at RMC, exploring how to keep space communications secure in the quantum era, particularly on devices with tight power and bandwidth constraints. I also collaborate with researchers around the world on AI, cybersecurity, smart cities, digital twins, and renewable energy, and I keep building on the side, including a production SaaS platform I designed and operate.
